Carefully prepared crushed Indian Almond Leaves, ideal for shrimp tanks, bettas, and other tropical freshwater aquariums. These broken leaf pieces release tannins and beneficial organic compounds more quickly than whole leaves, helping to recreate natural blackwater conditions while encouraging biofilm growth for shrimp and microfauna grazing.
Perfect for shrimp keepers, nano tanks, breeding projects, and aquarists looking for a natural botanical addition with faster tannin release and easier portion control.
You'll receive 10g of crushed catappa which is approximately equivalent to 4–5 whole leaves (15-20cm), although this can vary depending on leaf thickness and other natural features.
- Boil for 5 minutes (recommended) to help them sink and remove excess tannins
- Add gradually to your aquarium
Although every effort is made to ensure our botanicals are clean and free from contaminants or chemicals, this cannot be guaranteed due to the natural nature of the products. We recommend properly preparing botanical items before introducing them into any aquarium containing livestock.
